The Carolina Games Summit will feature an introduction to commentating by Jordan “FBI Tugboat” on Saturday, February 1st, 4pm at The Maxwell Center in Goldsboro, NC. The panel will also be streamed live at www.twitch.tv/cgs.

A graduate from the University of South Carolina, FBI Tugboat received a degree in marketing and psychology before stumbling upon his true passion for play-by-play commentary. Tugboat's career grew in 2019 to include commentary at popular events such as GameStop / Matcherino's PUBG Proving Grounds Tournament; Collegiate events with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference; Bombastic Call of Duty competitions, like CLT Esport's $5,000 Call of Duty competition; the Military Gaming League's Branch Battle at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas; and the StanLee SuperCon in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Tugboat's session will cover the necessary preparation required to work these types of events, plus a behind the scenes look at how others may break into esports commentary or shout-casting.

“Commentators on the esports circuit have a special skill set that is hard to replicate,” says Michael Everett Creative Director of Carolina Games Summit. “It is my hope that viewers and attendees of Tugboat/Mr. Fitzpatrick's session will have a deeper understanding of what is required to commentate esports and possibly will consider this path as a full-time career.”
