The Carolina Games Summit will feature a session titled: “Collegiate Esports: Current State of the Industry by Paul Christianson of Barton College on Saturday, February 1st at 6pm at The Maxwell Center in Goldsboro, NC. The panel will also be streamed live at www.twitch.tv/cgs.

“College esports has seen significant growth in the last few months,” says Michael Everett Creative Director of Carolina Games Summit. “We are excited to get an update on collegiate esports from one of our closest universities, Barton College, who recently invested heavily in the esports space by building their own arena in late 2019.”

Paul Christianson currently serves as the Head Esports Coach at Barton College. Coach Christianson carries substantial knowledge of the competitive esports industry and is a past winner of the D&S Beverages Madden Bowl and multiple local Halo tournaments.

Aside from his duties as Head Coach of the esports team, Coach Christianson currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Barton College and carries advanced coaching certifications from the American Sport Education Program, Australian Sports Commission, IMG Academy, and Titleist Performance Institute.
